2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: When you sign up via Slack or Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture.
  • Slack Workspace Data: We access your Slack workspace ID and basic workspace information to enable the Service.
  • Provider Credentials: API keys and credentials for third-party services (Twilio, ElevenLabs, Genesys, etc.) that you choose to connect.

2.2 Information We Access

  • Call Data: When you query Sherlock, we access call logs, transcripts, and metadata from your connected providers to answer your questions.
  • Slack Messages: We read messages directed to Sherlock (mentions and DMs) to process your queries.

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: Query history, feature usage, and interaction patterns.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, and device information.
  • Cookies and Trackers: We use an analytics tool (Datafast) and a live chat widget (Crisp) that may place cookies on your device. You can control or withdraw consent for non-essential cookies through your browser settings at any time.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Process and respond to your queries about call data
  • Send you technical notices and support messages
  • Monitor and analyze usage patterns
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR Art. 6)

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)): Processing necessary to deliver and manage the Service — account setup, query execution, billing, and support.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): Security monitoring, fraud prevention, and service analytics. These interests do not override your fundamental rights and freedoms.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): Non-essential cookies and marketing communications, where you have given explicit prior consent.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:

  • With Service Providers: Third-party vendors who assist in operating our Service (hosting, analytics).
  • With AI Providers: Query content is sent to Anthropic (USA) to generate responses. This data is not used to train AI models. Transfers to the USA are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) pursuant to Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914.
  • For Legal Reasons: When required by law or to protect our rights.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Query logs are retained for 90 days. You can request deletion of your data at any time.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data

8. Slack Data Usage

Our use of information received from Slack APIs adheres to the Slack API Terms of Service. We only access the minimum data necessary to provide the Service.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
